Terms of Use

What this covers

These terms apply to the David's Tent Scheduler, the privately owned scheduling tool David's Tent USA uses to organize worship and prayer watches at David's Tent and the American Center for Prayer and Revival.

By applying to serve, or by signing in to the scheduler, you agree to these terms.

Who may use it

  • You must be 18 or over, or have parental consent.
  • You must have applied and been approved to serve with David’s Tent USA, or otherwise have been added by an administrator.
  • Your account is yours alone. Do not share your password or let anyone else sign in as you.
  • The information you give us must be true and complete. We make scheduling and housing decisions from it, and honest answers help ensure the best experience for you and your fellow volunteers.

Your watches

David’s Tent USA exists to worship Jesus 24-7-365. A watch is a commitment. All volunteers are relying on your presence when you agree to come so that the Tent is covered during that hour. An uncovered or canceled hour requires a willing volunteer to stand in the gap when they were not planning to do so.

  • Show up for the watches you have selected.
  • Cancel a watch before it is scheduled (You can change your availability any time. The schedule is built starting at 5am Tuesday of the week prior.)
  • If you are scheduled for a watch, and then discover you cannot cover it, you will be on call for that watch. We ask that you help find a fellow volunteer to stand in the gap for you. If you cannot find someone by 72 hours before the watch starts, tell an administrator so we can help you find coverage. You will remain on call for the watch until it is filled.
  • Keep your availability and preferences up to date so the schedule reflects what is actually true for your scheduling availability.
  • Follow the code of conduct and facility use policy.

How you may use the scheduler

The scheduler holds personal information about other volunteers — their names, contact details, and when they are on site.

  • Use it only to serve with David’s Tent.
  • Do not copy, export or share other people’s information.
  • Do not use it to contact other volunteers for anything unrelated to serving here — no selling, no fundraising, no campaigning.
  • Do not attempt to access parts of the scheduler you have not been given access to.

Messages we send you

We will send you emails about your application, your schedule, and practical arrangements. If you have given us your mobile number and agreed to text messages, we may also text you about the same things.

You can stop text messages at any time by replying STOP, or by asking an administrator. Email about your schedule is part of serving here and cannot be switched off while you are on the roster.

How we handle your information is set out in our Privacy Notice.

Removing access

David's Tent may suspend or remove your access to the scheduler — for example if you stop serving with us, if you break the code of conduct, or if we have a concern about the safety of others.

You can ask us to close your account at any time by emailing schedule@davidstentdc.org.

What we do not promise

We do our best to keep the scheduler working and your information safe, but it is a tool run by a small ministry, not a commercial service.

  • It may occasionally be unavailable, and it may contain mistakes.
  • A published schedule can change. Always check the scheduler for the current version.
  • We are not liable for any loss arising from using the scheduler, to the extent the law allows.

If something looks wrong, please tell an administrator rather than assuming it is correct.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If we change something that affects you, we will tell you. Continuing to use the scheduler after such notice means you accept the change.
